An important statement about some of those involved in murduring the Egyptian female detainee Mariam Salem by deliberate medical negligence.

According to investigations conducted by We Record Team, the responsibility for murduring the political detainee Mariam Salem shall be placed on Dr Mohamed Ihab, the manager of al-Qanater Women’s Prison Hospital, Ayman Abu el-Nasr, the gastroenterologist at al-Qanater Women’s Prison Hospital, in addition to Walid Salah, the prison’s warden.

The medical condition of the female detainee had been neglected for more than one year. Malpractice continued until her weight reached 27 kgs in her last days!

Further, Ayman Abu el-Nasr, the gastroenterologist at al-Qanater Women’s Prison Hospital, had issued many forged medical reports on the results of her liver function analysis, which led to continuing the detainee’s suffering until she died.

Female political detainees in al-Qanater Prison have filed many complaints against Mohamed Ihab and Ayman Abu el-Nasr because of malpractices and deliberate medical negligence. Yet, nothing ever happened!

Accordingly, We Record Organization places the full responsibility for killing the detainee Mariam Salem on the above mentioned names in their capacities in addition to the prison administration.

Moreover, we send a message to the Doctors Syndicate to open an independent investigation into the practices that go against doctors’ ethics, which have been committed by each of Mohamed Ihab and Ayman Abu el-Nasr, in addition to withdrawing the professional licenses of them both.
